SAVED?      Saved from what?

Saved from our sins. The Bible says, "All have sinned" and it goes on to say, "The wages of sin is death" and one further learns through the Bible that the person who dies without being "Saved" spends eternity forever tormented, languishing in a lake of burning sulfur (brimstone) called, Hell. (Romans 3:23) (Romans 6:23)

Since God is perfect, He cannot tolerate sin. Thus, our sin separates us from Him. In love God provided a way for us to stay out of Hell and be with Him forever. He caused a common Jewish lady named Mary to have within her a child by His Holy Spirit. Though she was a virgin, she thus began supernaturally carrying God's only son. Upon His birth, at the direction of the angel Gabriel, Mary and her "husband to be", Joseph (she was only engaged to be married) named the child Jesus, which means Savior.

His son's death would pay the death penalty for the sins of ever person who would trust his plan. The most famous verse in the Bible tells us,
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). God sent his Son so that we might live. "that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures" (I Cor. 15:3-4).  "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).   "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)   I believed and called upon the Lord and He saved me!   Do not risk waiting as I did. I had no guarantee that I would live long enough to repent. Neither do you.

If you are lost, you need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Since you don't have the promise of tomorrow, you need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ into your life as saviour today!
